As Explained by Pastor Tony Ramirez during the time of invitation - December 12, 2021

I don't normally say this - it's not about becoming a member of the church.

If you want to become a member of this church just tell an elder and tell him - “I want to make this church my church home”.

What does that mean?

It doesn’t mean you are not a Christian - you're supposed to be a Christian and then find a church home.

Becoming part of a church home means that you see the church is following the will of God and you want to be a part of that as a whole.

That's what it means - to want to be a part of what God is calling the leaders of the church to do - and to be a part of it.

The way you do that is to become a church member.

How do you become a church member?

You tell an elder - you give your testimony of how you came to Jesus Christ.

Some of you might think - oh, I would not want to share that - but if you can't share your testimony with an elder who loves the Lord then how are you going to share it with somebody who doesn't love the Lord?

That's all it is

You should be able to give a witness about Jesus Christ.

“Let me tell you about Jesus Christ - let me tell you why I love Him - let me tell you how He has changed my life. Let me tell you how I have struggled and how He helps me through those situations.”

When you can share your testimony with an elder - over time we move forward and present you as a Church member.

And all it means is that you are on board with what the Church is teaching - “I’m on board with what they are doing and I want to be a part of it - what this church is doing.”

Because that is what this is - it is a work that God allowed us to start and for eleven years now - all we have wanted to do is to leave a legacy.

What is that legacy?

To be a Bible-teaching Church in Mechanicsville, Virginia.

Many people have told me that it is really hard to find a good Bible-teaching Church.

Well the Bible is great teaching so if the Pastors would just start there - there would be more great (Bible) teaching.

When you are looking for Biblical teaching, you must consider many things. Obviously you must consider whether the source of the teaching is based on the Bible or someone's idea about the Bible. There is a big difference here.

If you are looking for what God has outlined for His people through His servants and their stories, there is no other certain source than the Bible itself.

The best test you can apply is a very simple one - look for the Bible as the source. Not a man. Not a group. Not anything else but the genuine article.

At Fellowship Community Church we base all that we do on the Bible. We have been touched by our approach - and invite you to taste the blessings that come from Biblical truth.

At first the term "expository preaching" might seem a bit scholarly or abstract. The term means to preach the details a particular portion of the scripture to explain what the Bible is saying - using the Bible. It is not any more complicated than that.

But if you are not familiar with expository preaching we would be able to help.

Each week we present a portion of the scripture and focus on what it says. While you might not think that is very interesting - when God is involved, the insights that may be open to you during that preaching can be quite interesting. Often times amazing in what you come to realize.

You can hear someone tell you about what the Bible says - but what about letting someone lead you through the actual Bible? Do not discount the power of God here - these words are living words. And when you let those words touch you - your understanding and comprehension will never be the same.

Believe us. That's why we are here.

Join us Sundays at 9:45 am and find out for yourself.
